Atioko developer documentation

Atioko public information API

Get product information and published article metadata from Atioko's public, read-only JSON API.

Scope and authentication

You don't need an API key or account. The API returns public product information and resource metadata. We're collecting early-access signups; APIs for account management, content generation, research, and publishing aren't available. There is no application-level rate limit, though hosting limits may apply. Cache responses to avoid repeated polling.

Endpoints

  • GET /api: endpoint discovery and documentation links.
  • GET /api/product: product description and availability.
  • GET /api/resources: metadata for all published articles.
  • GET /api/resources/{slug}: one article's metadata and canonical URL. Use a slug from the resource list.

Example requests

curl -sS https://atioko.com/api/product
curl -sS https://atioko.com/api/resources
curl -sS https://atioko.com/api/resources/content-gap-analysis

Successful responses use HTTP 200 and Content-Type: application/json. The OpenAPI 3.1 specification defines unique operation IDs, path parameters, and response schemas for function calling tools.

Errors and supported methods

GET and HEAD retrieve information; OPTIONS reports allowed methods. Unknown endpoints and resource slugs return HTTP 404. Unsupported methods return HTTP 405 with an Allow header. Errors use application/json and contain error.code, error.message, error.hint, and error.docs.

{
  "error": {
    "code": "RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND",
    "message": "The requested Atioko resource does not exist.",
    "hint": "Use GET /api/resources to find a valid resource slug.",
    "docs": "https://atioko.com/docs"
  }
}

Markdown for agents

Request the homepage with Accept: text/markdown for a Markdown overview. Accept: text/html returns the existing website. Both representations vary by Accept. An explicit Markdown preference with a positive quality value is required; HTML is served on ties. Missing page paths requested as Markdown return HTTP 404 with a Markdown explanation and discovery links. API errors remain JSON.

curl -sS -L -i -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://atioko.com/
curl -sS -L -i -H 'Accept: text/html' https://atioko.com/
